Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers LLP, is pleased to announce that Birmingham-based senior attorney Carl “Trey” Dowdey, III, was selected as the staff judge advocate for the 412th Theater Engineer Command (TEC) out of Vicksburg, Mississippi. The 412th TEC is a two-star command in the U.S. Army Reserve with over 12,000 soldiers. Dowdey currently serves with the 2nd Legal Operations Detachment, based out of New Orleans. He served on active duty from 1998 through 2002 and was mobilized on active duty from 2007 through 2008. He is also active on the Military Law Committee within the Alabama State Bar.
