Swift Currie Welcomes Seven New Attorneys in Atlanta

Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, LLP, is pleased to announce the addition of seven new attorneys to its Atlanta office: Kevan G. Dorsey, Sean P. Farrell, Jordan M. Mahoney, Benjamin D. McClure, Alexander McDonald, Victoria L. Shaw and Winter N. Wheeler. With these additions, the firm has now added 24 attorneys in 2018, bringing its overall roster to 140 attorneys and continuing its commitment to growing in tandem with client needs to ensure the highest-quality legal services at a reasonable cost.

Dorsey joins the firm from Coles Barton LLP. He joins the litigation team and practices in the areas of transportation and automobile liability, premises liability and products liability. Dorsey earned his undergraduate degree from Columbus State University and his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law.

Farrell joins the firm from Arnett Law Group in Chicago, IL. He is part of the coverage and commercial litigation team and handles a variety of matters, including arson and fraud, commercial litigation and insurance coverage matters. Farrell earned his undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and his law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.

Mahoney joins the firm from Burke Law Group. Mahoney serves clients in general civil litigation, particularly matters of premises liability, catastrophic injury and wrongful death. He has experience in the defense of commercial property owners in personal injury claims and business litigation, along with defense of motor carriers, their drivers and insurers in litigation from matters of motor vehicle collisions. Mahoney earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his law degree from Emory University School of Law.

McClure joins the firm from the Holloway Law Group and focuses his practice in workers’ compensation defense. He formerly worked as a prosecutor handling major felony crimes, including jury trials. During his time as a criminal defense attorney, he represented individuals charged with a crime, ranging from day laborers to executives to indigent persons. McClure earned his undergraduate degree from Kennesaw State University and his law degree from Emory University School of Law.

McDonald joins the firm from Downey & Cleveland LLP. McDonald counsels clients in insurance defense and civil matters, including automobile accident, construction, premises liability, insurance coverage, first-party claims, medical malpractice, product liability and commercial litigation. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.

Shaw joins the firm from Downey & Cleveland LLP. In her practice, Shaw defends clients in suits related to automotive litigation, premises liability, first-party claims and general tort litigation. She received her undergraduate degree from Mercer University and her law degree from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law.

Wheeler joins the firm from Carlock, Copeland & Stair LLP. Her practice is focused on transportation law, premises liability and professional liability. She received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and her law degree from Tulane University Law School.
