Swift Currie Continues Recruitment Strategy With Addition of 7 Attorneys in Atlanta

Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, LLP, announces the addition of 7 attorneys in its Atlanta office, including Sarah Daley, Jane “Janie” Jansen, Erin McGonigle, Mishael Najm, Carley Rampy, Brittney Sizemore and Kathryn Trent. With these attorneys, the firm has announced the addition of 34 new attorneys in 2021, which are all available here.

Sarah Daley joins the firm’s litigation section, focusing her practice on defending businesses and insurers in matters related to bad faith litigation, catastrophic injury and wrongful death, commercial litigation, insurance coverage and products liability. She is experienced in litigating complex matters on behalf of Fortune 500 companies in federal courts across the country. She previously served two clerkships for two federal district court judges in Mississippi. Daley earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, a master’s degree from the University of Alabama and her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Jane “Janie” Jansen joins the firm’s workers’ compensation group, defending employees and insurers against workers’ compensation claims throughout the state of Georgia. Before joining Swift Currie, Jansen practiced on the claimants’ side of workers’ compensation matters. While in law school, she served as a law clerk for Georgia Governor Nathan Deal and his Executive Counsel. She also served as a judicial clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida and as a press office intern for the office of Florida Governor Rick Scott. Jansen earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and her law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

Erin McGonigle joins the firm’s litigation section, representing businesses and insurers in a variety of matters pertaining to automobile litigation, catastrophic injury and wrongful death, commercial litigation, sexual abuse, subrogation and trucking litigation, as well as premises, products and professional liability. McGonigle brings extensive experience working with government agencies, having previously defended government officials in civil suits. She also served as a policy fellow for the Office of Georgia Governor Nathan Deal, presenting legislation to the governor and his senior staff. While in law school, she served as a legal intern with the U.S. Department of Justice and as a clerk with the Court of Appeals of Georgia. McGonigle earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and her law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.

Mishael Najm joins the firm’s coverage and commercial litigation section, representing businesses and insurance carriers in first-party and third-party property and bodily injury loss claims in Georgia, including those related to arson, fraud, automobile accidents and theft coverage in homeowner and automobile insurance policies. Najm is experienced representing litigants on both sides of the “v.” Prior to embarking on her legal career, she worked at nonprofit human rights organizations around the world. She currently serves as co-chair for the Young Lawyers Division Inclusion in the Profession Committee of the State Bar of Georgia. Najm earned her undergraduate degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and her law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.

Carley Rampy joins the firm’s litigation section and will represent trucking companies and insurers in matters related to trucking and transportation litigation, insurance coverage and premises liability. She previously worked with a plaintiff’s personal injury firm and clerked with the Coweta Judicial Circuit Superior Court. Additionally, she interned with the Fulton County and Macon-Bibb District Attorneys’ Offices. Rampy earned her undergraduate degree from Mercer University and her law degree from the Mercer University School of Law.

Brittney Sizemore joins the firm’s coverage and commercial litigation section and represents insurance companies with a national presence in matters related to arson and fraud, commercial litigation and insurance coverage. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced at another metro Atlanta firm representing clients in litigation matters with a focus on negligence and insurance coverage. She previously served as a judicial law clerk for the Superior Court of Bibb County. Sizemore earned her undergraduate degree from Young Harris College and her law degree from the Mercer University School of Law.

Kathryn Trent joins the firm’s litigation section with a practice focused on automobile litigation, bad faith litigation, catastrophic injury and wrongful death, commercial litigation, premises liability and professional liability. She previously served as a staff attorney with the Eleventh Circuit Court of Federal Appeals, handling a wide range of matters, including employment discrimination, commercial litigation, class action lawsuits, fraud and white collar investigations, civil rights and more. Trent earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and her law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law.
