Kathryn J. Trent is a civil defense litigator focusing her practice on matters related to automobile litigation, bad faith litigation, catastrophic injury and wrongful death, commercial litigation, premises liability and professional liability.
Prior to joining Swift Currie, Kathryn was an attorney for the Staff Attorney’s Office of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, which gave her direct insight into how cases proceed on appeal and new issues in the law. Throughout her time in this role, Kathryn diligently cultivated her research and writing skills, which she utilizes in her practice to guide her clients toward successful resolution of their claims.
Kathryn earned her J.D. from the University Alabama School of Law. While in law school, Kathryn earned numerous honors for her work, including being named to the Order of the Coif and Order of the Barristers. She received her B.A. in political science and history from the University of Alabama.

Kathryn loves exploring Atlanta’s parks with her labradoodle. She also enjoys cooking and trying out new restaurants in Atlanta’s food scene.
