“Swift Currie Continues Hiring Spree With Hicks, Casey & Morton Team,” Daily Report

02.05.2018

In an article published on February 5, 2018, in the Daily Report, Swift Currie was featured for its recent growth and for welcoming three new lateral partners: William Casey, Erica Morton and Richie Foster. In addition to the partners, the firm hired 10 other attorneys in January, bringing its total to 135 attorneys, an increase of 28 since July 2016 and a growth rate of 26 percent over the past 18 months. Casey, Morton and Foster all once worked together at the law firm of Hicks, Casey & Foster PC, and have shared clients and similar industries with Swift Currie for a number of years. “We’ve shared clients with Bill and Erica for a number of years, and a number of our attorneys have litigated with Bill, Erica and Richie for decades,” said Terry Brantley, managing partner of Swift Currie. “We have found them to be excellent lawyers and fantastic people. They are going to fit into this firm’s culture very well.” Morton said that joining a firm that is growing and flourishing in a time when not all firms are, was appealing. “Our practices dovetail nicely, which makes for an easy transition for us and our clients,” she said.
