Jennifer L. Nichols practices in the areas of general liability and civil litigation, with a focus on premises liability, automobile litigation, and construction litigation. Prior to joining the firm in 2015, Ms. Nichols practiced for ten years with a civil litigation defense firm in Atlanta.
Ms. Nichols graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology. She attended law school at the University of Miami, where she was member of the University's Moot Court Board, the recipient of the Best Brief Award during the University's 2002 Advanced Moot Court Competition, and the Champion of the 2003 State of Florida Moot Court Competition.
Ms. Nichols is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association. She is admitted to practice before the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She has obtained summary judgment for her clients in numerous cases in State and Federal Court and she has served as lead and co-counsel in several trials at the State level.
From 2012 to 2014, Ms. Nichols served as a Co-Chair for the Women in the Profession Committee of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia, for which she received an Award of Achievement for Outstanding Service to the Profession.
Ms. Nichols is on the Executive Committee of The Red Shoe Society of Atlanta, an organization of young professionals who support the programs of Ronald McDonald House Charities by volunteering and fundraising to help make a difference in the lives of sick children and their families. She is currently serving as the Chair of the organization's Annual Spring Fundraiser. Since 2008, Ms. Nichols has served as an Evaluator and Judge for the annual Georgia High School Mock Trial Competition. She is also an active member of the Greater Atlanta Alumnae Association of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.
