Swift Currie Partners Bill Casey and Pamela Lee Named to GDLA Executive Committee
Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, LLP, is proud to announce the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association (GDLA) has named partners Bill Casey and Pamela Lee to leadership roles in its Executive Committee. For the 2021-2022 term, Casey will serve as secretary and Lee will serve as treasurer. These roles place them in the line of succession to become president of GDLA.
Casey and Lee have actively served as board members of GDLA throughout the years. Lee previously served as vice president before becoming secretary for the 2019-2020 term.
Casey has over 35 years of experience defending serious injury cases. He primarily works with large insurance companies and national retailers — many of which he has nurtured long-term relationships spanning decades — on claims related to premises liability, construction defect, transportation and automobile accidents and products liability. He is also a faculty member of GDLA's Trial & Mediation Academy and has spoken at trial tactics seminars held by the Defense Research Institute (DRI).
Lee has more than 10 years of experience practicing in the firm’s litigation section. She devotes her practice to litigation, including various tort liability litigation, insurance coverage disputes and the defense of insurance bad faith matters. In addition to her position with GDLA, she is a member of the steering committees for three DRI sections: Retail and Hospitality, Women in the Law and Trial Tactics. At Swift Currie, she is a member of the Hiring Committee.
GDLA was founded in 1967 by a group of civil defense attorneys and provides formal avenues for training, networking and communication to its members.
