“Swift Currie’s Lee Successfully Defends Client In Athens Trial,” Daily Report

04.03.2018

In an article published on April 3, 2018, in the Daily Report, Swift Currie Atlanta-based partner Pamela Lee is featured for successfully representing Irene Gregg after she was sued by her former housekeeper Gladys Staley. The article says that Gregg hired Staley as a housekeeper to run errands and drive her to the store and medical appointments. Staley fell through Gregg’s attic one day and ultimately fell through the garage and landed on Gregg’s car, suffering serious injuries and incurring $40,000 in medical bills in the process. The jury ultimately found no negligence against Gregg. “Had we made it to the damages phase, she would have claimed a host of injuries, including what amounted to a [traumatic brain injury],” said Lee. The attorney for Staley notes Lee’s impressive legal efforts saying, “It was a fair trial, and Pamela Lee is an outstanding lawyer.”
