WEBINAR: Relationship Status: It's Complicated - What Employer-Employee Relationships Create Coverage Under the Act for 2021?

Webinar
03.04.2021

Attorneys Martine Cumbermack and Jonathan Wilson will host the webinar, "Relationship Status: It's Complicated - What Employer-Employee Relationships Create Coverage Under the Act for 2021," on March 4 from 1-2 p.m. Eastern.

Most Georgia workers’ compensation cases have clear employer-employee relations. However, when evidence of an “actual employment” relationship is lacking, things can become complicated. These issues often arise in cases involving independent contractors, statutory employers, PEOs and “borrowed servants.”

The attorneys will cover the issues and potential defenses that are present in such cases, along with some of the finer details that can turn out to be crucial for the outcome. They will also review best practices and procedures for handling these somewhat unusual cases through discussion of some hypothetical scenarios.

The webinar will offer one general hour of continuing education credit (pending approval) for attendees registered with the Georgia Department of Insurance.

Instructions to join webinar will be emailed to registrants closer to the date of the program.
