WEBINAR — Take Your Mark: Ethics through the Life of a Workers’ Compensation Claim

Webinar
05.06.2026 | 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm EST

Attorney Rusty Watts and Adriana de la Torriente will host the webinar "Take Your Mark: Ethics through the Life of a Workers’ Compensation Claim" on May 6, 2026, from 1-2 p.m. Eastern.

Ethics in workers’ compensation claims handling is not a checklist; it is the standard guiding every decision. From initial reporting to claim resolution, adjusters face ethical pressure points that can significantly impact injured workers. While no single governing code exists for adjusters, ethical responsibilities are shaped by sources like the Georgia Workers’ Compensation Act, emphasizing timeliness, medical care and fairness. This webinar will examine common pitfalls that undermine ethical handling and explores the growing role of artificial intelligence in claims decisions, including its risks and limitations. Attendees will gain practical insight into maintaining ethical standards throughout the life of a claim and making sound, defensible decisions.

The webinar is pending approval for one ethics hour of continuing education credit for attendees registered with the Georgia Department of Insurance.
