This webinar will provide a practical guide to navigating the challenging landscape of time-limited settlement demands in Georgia. The presentation will define “Holt Demands” and explain the high stakes of bad-faith failure-to-settle claims. The attorneys will cover the distinction between statutory and non-statutory demands, with a deep dive into 2024 amendments to O.C.G.A. § 9-11-67.1, pertaining to motor vehicle claims. The session will also address the strict “mirror image” rule, using real-world case examples to illustrate common pitfalls, as well as current trends in Georgia time-limited demands and best practices for insurers and claims handlers.
