Overview

Amber R. O’Connell defends commercial and institutional clients in cases involving construction defects, auto accidents, negligence and professional premises liability claims.

Amber approaches litigation with an abundance of care, recognizing that lawsuits can present a great deal of stress for those involved. She has experience handling matters from initial investigation through resolution and has tried cases to verdict. She prioritizes transparency and keeps clients well informed throughout athe litigation process. Amber is committed to understanding her clients’ objectives and devises strategies tailored to achieve those objectives in an efficient and practical manner.

Prior to joining Swift Currie, Amber served as a judicial staff attorney for the Enotah Judicial Circuit Superior Courts for Judge Murphy C. Miller, Judge Joy R. Parks, Judge Raymond E. George and Judge N. Stanley Gunter. Through this role, she gained valuable insight into the court’s decision-making process and day-to-day operations, which she leverages to obtain favorable results for her clients.

Amber is barred in Georgia and Florida. She earned her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law and her B.S. from the University of Florida.

Outside of work, Amber enjoys walking the Atlanta Beltline and cheering on her favorite college football teams. She also has a rescue Vizsla-pit mix named Toby.
