WEBINAR – Off the Bench and Back in the Game: Return to Work, Light Duty Offers and 240s

Webinar
04.18.2024 | 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm EST

Attorneys Todd Boyce and Sara Phillips will host the webinar "Off the Bench and Back in the Game: Return to Work, Light Duty Offers and 240s" on April 18, 2024, from 1-2 p.m. Eastern.

After a claim has been accepted and the claimant is receiving medical treatment, it is important to have a strategy designed to keep the duration of the claim as short as possible – a closed claim is a good claim. One of the best ways to shorten the lifespan of a claim is to offer the claimant suitable employment. But how? What are the different methods to bring the claimant back to work? How do I best ensure my efforts bring about the desired result? Don’t I just fill out a form and I’m done? What steps can I take after I offer the job? This presentation will discuss the pitfalls and procedures of offering claimants “suitable employment” including how to offer the job by the book, how to make the offer stick and when you can suspend the income benefits.

The webinar will offer one hour of continuing education credit for attendees registered with the Georgia Department of Insurance (pending approval).
