Webinar
07.11.2023 | 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm EST

Attorneys Marion Martin and Trey Dowdey will host the webinar "GA v. AL – Whose WC Laws Are Better Anyways?" on July 11, 2023, from 1-2 p.m. Eastern.

The world of workers’ compensation is an intricate web of laws, rules and procedures. Despite this, employers and insurance companies operating across state lines are required to navigate these intricacies on a daily basis. Although employer and insurance company operations are often regional in nature, the law across state lines can vary greatly. In this webinar, our attorneys will provide a brief overview of some of the fundamental aspects of Alabama and Georgia workers’ compensation law. They will then juxtapose the reviewed areas of law and explain the implications of each distinction. This presentation will focus on the provisions within each state’s respective Workers’ Compensation Acts regarding medical treatment and the panel of physicians, the denial of a claim, catastrophic claims/permanent total disability and PPD, and scheduled injuries.

The webinar offers one general continuing education credit for attendees registered with the Georgia Department of Insurance.
