WEBINAR: Navigating Uncharted Territory - Defense Against Sex Trafficking Litigation Across the Country

Webinar
12.16.2020

Attorneys Pamela Lee and Sabrina Atkins will host the webinar, "Navigating Uncharted Territory: Defense Against Sex Trafficking Litigation Across the Country," on Dec. 16 from 1-2 p.m. Eastern.

Litigation against hotels, truck stops and social media websites, such as Facebook, alleging violations of the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA) and numerous state premise liability laws has increased in the past year, with well over 60 separate lawsuits pending around the country.

This webinar will generally discuss the crime of sex trafficking, the civil remedies allowed under the TVPRA, potential claims under state-specific laws and unique considerations in defending these claims. While you may not yet have received one of these lawsuits, they are on the rise and expected to increase in the coming years.

The webinar will offer one general hour of continuing education credit (pending approval) for attendees registered with the Georgia Department of Insurance.

Instructions to join webinar will be emailed to registrants closer to the date of the program.
