Jessica Phillips and Rebecca Strickland will be presenting part one of a three-part webinar series on Thursday, June 8, from 1-2 pm EST. They will be presenting on "Dealing with Damages."

Phase 2 of this three-part webinar series will focus on the considerations that are likely to arise in a damages dispute. Swift Currie attorneys Jessica Phillips and Rebecca Strickland will explore issues that arise when insurable interest is at issue. They will also discuss the mortgagee clause, when it comes into play, how the mortgagee’s interest is determined and how foreclosure affects the mortgagee’s interest. Appraisal can be a useful tool to resolve damages disputes, and the speakers will address the policy language, deadlines and limitations of appraisal. Finally, they will discuss the loss payable provision, replacement cost value and actual cash value.
