Mark Goodman to Participate in 2 Panels at 2019 SBWC Regional Educational Series

Georgia
05.02.2019

Partner Mark Goodman will participate in two panels at the 2019 State Board of Workers' Compensation (SBWC) Regional Educational Series. The series will occur during the months of March, April and May throughout the state of Georgia

Goodman will moderate "Smokey and the Bandit: Chasing Down Workers' Comp Costs," which will help attendees understand how employers can save money in the workers' comp arena. Included will be a discussion on safety and investigative programs, the posted panel, common defenses, difficult injuries and much more. He will also be a panelist on "The Y'allywood Awards" — a session in which the audience will review various case scenarios and issues and, through their script writing, add the necessary “facts” in order to prevail before the administrative law judge.

Employers, self-insureds, human resource and risk managers, claims adjusters, rehabilitation specialists, medical service providers, workers' compensation attorneys, paralegals and other system participants will benefit from presentations regarding recent developments in legislation, Board Rules and case law, among other relevant topics, at this year's program.
