On July 22, 2021, Swift Currie partner Lane Finch is speaking at DRI's 2021 Insurance Bad Faith and Extra-Contractual Liability Seminar in Chicago, Illinois.

Finch, along with John Foley of Markel,  will take the stage at 4:10 p.m. to present, "Primary and Umbrella/Excess Carriers - Tension and Triumphs." The duo will explore how carriers can work together, what duties they owe to each other and when or if those duties may shift. They will also address when limits should be tendered, the effect of tendering limits, how different jurisdictions treat tenders in the context of the duty to defend, pre/post judgment interest issues and dealing with disputes over coverage positions.

The full seminar will be held at the Swissôtel Chicago from July 22-24, 2021. Attendees will learn about the latest trends and developments in bad faith litigation; insight from policyholder attorneys on litigation strategies and themes that succeed in bad faith cases; strategies for discovery, witness preparation and the use of experts in bad faith litigation; emerging bad faith issues stemming from COVID business interruption claims; and more.
