Navigating the complexities of demand statutes and calculating damages accurately can be tricky. This webinar will review Georgia statutes governing attorney’s fees and fines and their interplay with settlement demands. Specifically, this webinar will discuss when various demands can be made before, during and after litigation, and how those demands can affect the value of a case from a risk management perspective. The attorneys will discuss the significance of each statute and address which statutes can be used to benefit defendants. Finally, the attorneys will review a disaster scenario in which we analyze the potential consequences of a worst-case scenario where multiple fee and fine statutes stack upon each other.
