WEBINAR: Whiplash or Windfall? The Wild World of Workers’ Compensation Fraud

Webinar
10.22.2024 | 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. EST

Attorneys Jon Spencer and Sarah Snipes will host the webinar "Whiplash or Windfall? The Wild World of Workers’ Compensation Fraud" on October 22, 2024, from 1-2 p.m. Eastern.

After a workers’ compensation claim is filed, it is critical an immediate and comprehensive investigation is conducted. Moreover, it is important the information and evidence obtained during the initial investigation is reviewed timely. Not only does this allow for more favorable outcomes and reduced overall claim exposure, it also helps identify and prevent fraud in workers’ compensation filings. The same investigative tools typically used at the outset of the claim – the ISO reports, surveillance or social media investigations – can help detect, identify, prevent and report fraud. This webinar will help viewers better understand the tools available for identifying, investigating and reporting detected fraud.

The webinar will offer one hour of ethics continuing education credit for attendees registered with the Georgia Department of Insurance (pending approval).
