WEBINAR — Hammering Out the Panel Requirements: A Workers’ Compensation Case Law Update
Attorneys Sara Phillips and Christina Hines will host the webinar "Hammering Out the Panel Requirements: A Workers’ Compensation Case Law Update" on September 30, 2026, from 1-2 p.m. Eastern.
Employers, insurers and adjusters in Georgia are familiar with the various panel of physicians requirements in workers’ compensation claims. On June 11, 2026, the Georgia Court of Appeals issued an opinion in McCray v. United Electric Company/Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company addressing an employer’s posted panel of physicians at a construction jobsite. This webinar will provide a case law update on McCray and review the legal framework established by Georgia statutory law and State Board of Workers’ Compensation rules. The attorneys will discuss requirements for the composition and posting of the panel of physicians, as well as presenting the panel to an injured worker. Attendees will gain a better understanding of compliance and best practices for posting the panel of physicians at nontraditional workplaces, including construction jobsites.
The webinar is pending approval for one general hour of continuing education credit for attendees registered with the Georgia Department of Insurance.
