Doug Brown and Ann McElroy Speaking at 28th Annual Georgia Safety Conference

Savannah, GA
09.07.2023 | 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.

Swift Currie partner Doug Brown and senior attorney Ann McElroy will speak at the 28th Annual Georgia Safety Conference on Thursday, September 7, 2023.

Their presentation, titled "Out of Sight, But Not Out of Mind - Considerations When Work Accidents Happen Away From the Office," will discuss workers' compensation injuries and claims in the ever-changing world and workplace. With more employees working remotely these days following the onslaught of COVID, as well as other employees returning to employment, including travel to conferences as well as customer sites, our attorneys want to discuss considerations, old and new, for the handling of work injuries. This will include procedures from how to report incidents to arranging for appropriate examination and treatment of work injuries. They will also discuss methods of investigating and evaluating claims when they do not occur onsite on the employer's premises.
