Overview

David L. Lindsey is an associate attorney in Swift Currie’s Birmingham office. He focuses his practice on defending employers, insurers and self-insured in workers’ compensation and related liability claims, as well as labor and employment matters.

Prior to joining Swift Currie, David served in law clerk positions at the District Attorney's office, a medical malpractice defense firm in Atlanta and a plaintiff's firm in Birmingham.

David earned his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. During his third year of law school, he was a member of the Cumberland Veterans Clinic, which provides legal assistance to veterans in the greater Birmingham area.

During his undergraduate studies at Berry College, David served as President of the Student Government Association. In this role, David was constantly in communication with different constituents: the student body, the college's cabinet and the board of trustees. Learning to balance the perspectives and wishes of each group instilled the values and skills he uses today in his workers’ compensation claims and relationships with his clients.
