WEBINAR: When a Workers' Comp Claim Gets Complicated – Employee Layoffs, Subsequent Injuries, Unemployment and Medical Leave

Webinar
10.14.2020

Attorneys Monica Goudy and Elijah Davis will host the webinar, "When a Workers' Comp Claim Gets Complicated: Employee Layoffs, Subsequent Injuries, Unemployment and Medical Leave" on Oct. 14 from 1-2 p.m. Eastern.

Employee layoffs, subsequent injuries, unemployment and approved medical leave can all affect workers’ compensation claims in different ways. Sometimes, more than one of these will impact a claim, making it potentially more difficult to administer or resolve.

The attorneys will discuss how these additional hurdles interact with each other, federal laws and Georgia Board Rules and statutes. Additionally, they will address best practices and procedures for handling each aspect of a claim impacted by one of these variables.

The webinar will offer one general hour of continuing education credit for attendees registered with the Georgia Department of Insurance.

Instructions to join webinar will be emailed to registrants closer to the date of the program.
