WEBINAR: The Posted Panel and Initial Claim Handling

Webinar
06.16.2020

Attorneys Ann McElroy and Pearce Taylor will present the webinar, "The Posted Panel and Initial Claim Handling: Starting Claims Off on the Right Foot," on June 16 from 1-2 p.m.

An employer’s posted panel of physicians and initial claim handling can make or break a workers’ compensation claim. Putting together a valid panel of physicians and ensuring it is properly posted and that employees are made aware of it is vital for employers and insurers to provide appropriate medical treatment to injured workers, while being able to contain medical costs.

McElroy and Taylor will discuss the aspects of what is needed to form a valid panel and properly post it in accordance with Georgia Board Rules and statutes. Additionally, they will speak about policies and protocols for how to prepare for future claims and what to do as soon as an employee reports a work injury.

The webinar will offer one general hour of continuing education credit for attendees registered with the Georgia Department of Insurance.

Instructions to join webinar will be emailed to registrants closer to the date of the program.
