Gillian Crowl Moderating ABA Women in Insurance Network Virtual Program

Webinar
11.05.2020

Attorney Gillian Crowl will moderate the panel, "Zoom Trials and Mediations: Tips, Tricks, and Ethical Pitfalls," during the American Bar Association's Women in Insurance Network Virtual Regional CLE Program from 9:45-10:45 a.m. EST on Nov. 5.

The technology to hold virtual jury trials exists, as has been proven, but is it ethical to do so when so many socioeconomically disadvantaged people may be prevented from serving on juries due to a lack of technology?

Crowl will moderate a discussion featuring Amy M. Stewart of Stewart Law Group PLLC and Winter N. Wheeler of Miles Mediation & Arbitration, LLC, as they detail their experience and lessons learned from Zoom Trials and mediations.

The full program, presented by the Section of Litigation Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee, will run from 10 a.m.-5:50 p.m. EST. Other topics include ALI Restatement of Law Liability Insurance, emerging issues in horizontal vs. vertical exhaustion, current coverage challenges with sexual abuse claims, risk retention groups, the latest developments in COVID-19 coverage and advice from the bench: practicing in unprecedented times.
