Crystal McElrath to Present NBI Webinar on Joint Employer Liability

Webinar
09.24.2021

Crystal McElrath will present the webinar, "Joint Employer Liability: Recent Changes and Current Issues," hosted by the National Business Institute (NBI) on Sept. 24, 2021, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. EDT.

A recent DOL decision widened the range of who is considered a joint employer and, thus, held liable for FLSA violations. This presentation explores the DOL's prior rule, its conflicts with FLSA protections and what lies ahead for joint employer liability.

During the webinar, McElrath will delve into the background of the previous administration's 2020 rule and the effects of the rescission of the joint employer rule on businesses and employees, as well as offer practical guidance for ensuring compliance with critical wage and hour regulations and review legal best practices for drafting contracts.
