Overview

John Will Monroe is an associate at Swift Currie representing clients in commercial litigation, automobile litigation, trucking litigation, premises liability, construction law, product liability, governmental liability, insurance coverage, catastrophic injuries and wrongful death matters.

Will began his legal career in the U.S. Army JAG Corps, where he advised commanders on regulatory and operational matters, represented victims of sexual assault and domestic violence and defended soldiers accused of misconduct in courts-martial and hearings, litigating more than 30 cases during his service. Over his career, he has held a variety of positions, including Chief of the National Security Law Division for the U.S. Army’s 1st Armored Division (1AD) during Operation Allies Refuge and Deputy Brigade Judge Advocate for the 1AD Combat Aviation Brigade during a deployment to Europe in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve.

Will draws on this diverse experience to help clients navigate complex legal disputes by identifying risk, analyzing issues and developing comprehensive solutions.

Will earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law and his B.S. in Criminal Justice from Georgia Southern University. He continues to serve in the U.S. Army Reserves’ 213th Legal Operations Detachment.
