Overview

Brett W. Aaron represents clients, including leading insurance companies, in matters related to insurance coverage, arson and fraud investigations, bad faith litigation and general commercial litigation.

Brett is a staunch advocate for his clients, evidenced by his record of successfully winning appeals. In one case, Brett overturned a trial court’s ruling that an insurer’s unlicensed driver exclusion violated public policy. In another, Brett litigated a matter resolving whether an insured, as a condition precedent to coverage, must submit authorization to release medical records as required by the insurance policy. Furthermore, Brett recently won a seven-figure insurance contribution award against an opposing insurer in summary judgment.

Dedicated to advancing his wealth of knowledge concerning insurance issues, Brett works diligently to stay abreast of all current case law and insurance news so that he can offer the answers his clients need. This allows Brett to provide his clients a tailored defense strategy based on the facts at hand. Having worked with the Alabama Department of Insurance, Brett also brings experience working directly with fraud investigators.

Brett earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law. Previously, he received his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Mid-South Super Lawyers has recognized Brett as a Rising Star since 2018, a distinction held by only 2.5% of the nation’s lawyers under 40.
