Overview

Wesley B. Billiot is an associate at Swift Currie focusing his practice on arson and fraud, automobile litigation, bad faith litigation, insurance coverage, premises liability and commercial litigation. He brings a background in administrative law, healthcare-related disputes and government litigation to his practice.

Before joining Swift Currie, Wesley served as Associate General Counsel for Litigation and Associate General Counsel for Developmental Disabilities at the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. In those roles, he served as lead attorney in more than 100 Office of State Administrative Hearings (OSAH) cases and provided legal counsel to the Department on the operations of Georgia’s NOW and COMP Medicaid Waiver programs.

Wesley’s experience working closely with subject matter experts in psychology, nursing, healthcare billing and related fields has strengthened his ability to develop litigation strategy, manage expert testimony and effectively present complex issues before judges and tribunals. He also has experience navigating regulatory frameworks involving the Medicaid Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Known for his responsiveness and practical approach to client service, Wesley prioritizes clear communication and thoughtful advocacy throughout every stage of litigation.

Wesley earned his J.D., cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia.
