Overview
V. Grace Mitchell is an associate at Swift Currie representing clients in a broad range of litigation matters, including automobile litigation, trucking litigation, premises liability, construction law, governmental liability, catastrophic injuries and wrongful deaths. Her practice is grounded in strategic advocacy, precise legal analysis and a strong understanding of how cases are evaluated at the appellate level.
Before joining Swift Currie, Grace served for two years as a staff attorney at the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. In that role, she worked on approximately 136 appellate cases, handling complex procedural and substantive issues, including constitutional questions, pro se civil rights appeals, and high-profile, multi-party matters presenting issues of first impression. This experience sharpened her research and writing skills and gave her a valuable perspective on judicial decision-making that informs her litigation practice.
Grace earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where she was awarded the Paul Bryan Prize in Constitutional Law. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida.
