Swift Currie Continues Growth in Atlanta with Addition of Six New Attorneys

Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, LLP, announces the addition of six attorneys to its Atlanta office during the opening months of 2019. The newest arrivals to the growing firm include senior attorney Thea A. Nanton-Persaud, as well as associates Christine H. Lee, Lauren E. Meadows, Maureen "Molly" D. O’Connor, Hannah Beth Reynolds and Raqketa D. Williams. These latest additions to the firm follow a year of growth for Swift Currie that included 45 new hires and brought the firm’s attorney headcount to 150 attorneys, making it the largest firm in Georgia focused solely on litigation.

Swift Currie Attorney Trey Dowdey Appointed Commander of 10th Legal Operations Detachment of US Army Reserve Legal Command

Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, LLP, is pleased to announce Carl “Trey” K. Dowdey, III, has been selected to take over command of the U.S. Army Reserve’s 10th Legal Operations Detachment, which falls under the U.S. Army Reserve Legal Command out of Gaithersburg, Maryland. Dowdey’s appointment will take effect on June 22, 2019, and will make him one of just 23 Legal Operations Detachment commanders nationwide. In addition to this announcement, Dowdey will also be promoted to the rank of colonel in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps.
