“Swift Currie Continues Growth In Atlanta and Birmingham With Addition of Seven New Attorneys,” Atlanta CityBizList, Metro Atlanta CEO, Georgia Bar Journal

Swift Currie’s seven new attorneys were included in Atlanta CityBizList on September 24 and in Metro Atlanta CEO on September 25, as the firm continues its accelerated growth across its Atlanta and Birmingham offices. Now as the largest firm in Georgia focused exclusively on litigation, this announcement means 34 new attorneys have joined the firm in 2018 alone, bringing the total headcount to more than 140 attorneys.

The Georgia Bar Journal also announced the news of the seven attorneys in its December 2018 issue.

“Weathering the Storm: Insurance Coverage for Risks Posed by Natural Disasters,” Business Alabama

Brandon Clapp authored an article published by Business Alabama on August 28, 2018, discussing the risks posed to Alabama businesses by potential weather-related natural disasters, as well as what businesses owners should do to protect themselves before disaster strikes. According to a 2013 study by the American Sustainable Business Council, natural disasters are particularly devastating to small and mid-size businesses, with one quarter of those businesses hit by catastrophic storms never reopening. The study also estimated a daily loss of $3,000 for small businesses that remain closed following a major weather event.
