Shivam Kumar is an attorney for Swift Currie, defending insurance companies and employers in workers’ compensation claims. Experienced in conducting depositions and mediations, Shivam is also well versed in achieving settlements below authority and preparing claims for a successful defense at hearings.

Having lived in three different countries, Shivam has experienced a variety of cultures, allowing him to view and relate to issues from diverse perspectives.
Prior to practicing workers’ compensation, Shivam worked in constitutional law, primarily writing amicus briefs to the Supreme Court of the United States. Additionally, during his time at the Beacon Center of Tennessee, he worked closely with state legislators to compile data for the “Right to Earn a Living Act.”
Shivam earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and his undergraduate degree from Emory University.
