Overview

Porter Simpler is an associate at Swift Currie representing corporate and institutional clients in complex, high-exposure litigation. His practice focuses on the defense of commercial litigation and insurance coverage matters.

Porter is known for his attention to detail and his commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for his clients. He regularly handles matters involving multiple claims, crossclaims and counterclaims, advising clients on strategic options for efficient resolution, including global and pro tanto settlements.

Before joining Swift Currie, Porter served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Elisabeth French, gaining valuable insight into judicial decision-making and litigation strategy. He has also drafted briefs submitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, further strengthening his research and writing skills.

Porter earned his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law and his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Alabama.
