Philip T. Poole is a Swift Currie associate focusing his practice on commercial litigation defense.
Before joining the firm, Philip served as a law clerk to the Honorable John T. Simpson in Carroll County Superior Court, assisting the judge in a number of civil and criminal cases. Working hand in hand with the judge, he helped victims of family violence by hearing all Domestic Violence Restraining Order petitions in the circuit. He also assisted the judge with his duties in the Parental Accountability Court Program, as well as the Coweta County Veterans Treatment Court. Additionally, Philip drafted orders in serious criminal, domestic and civil matters.
Philip earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law. During his time in law school, Philip was honored as a region champion for the American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition and region semifinalist for the National Trial Competition. Prior, Philip graduated, summa cum laude, with a B.A. in political science from Georgia State University.
