Lisa J. Churvis is an attorney in Swift Currie’s litigation section defending individuals and businesses in matters related to employment and automobile litigation and premises liability.
Prior to joining Swift Currie, Lisa served as staff attorney at the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as interned for the Honorable Amy Totenberg in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the Honorable John Goger in the Superior Court of Fulton County. In these positions, she elevated her personal standards for excellence in legal analysis and professionalism as she gained valuable insight into how judges think about their cases and perceive the attorneys practicing before them.
Lisa is adept at helping her clients view all sides of an issue and their desired strategies. She maintains client service at the forefront of her practice by keeping her clients updated and involved in their cases in order to make informed decisions together. Lisa ensures she always has open channels of communication and efficiently guides her clients through the legal process with care.
Lisa earned her J.D., cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law. While there, she served as the associate articles editor for the Georgia State University Law Review and vice president of research, writing and advocacy for Moot Court. Additionally, she received the American Bar Association Health Law Section and Bloomberg BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Health Law and won Best Brief in Support of a Motion for Summary Judgment.
Outside of the office, Lisa enjoys gardening and exploring parks, museums and historical sites.
