Lauren S. Byrne is an attorney in the firm’s coverage and commercial litigation section, counseling her clients throughout the lifecycle of a wide variety of claims related to automobile, bad faith and trucking litigation, as well as insurance coverage and premises liability.
Whether a straightforward auto accident or a complex $50 million commercial litigation matter, she is adept at creating a tailored, efficient strategy to achieve her client’s goals in the simplest manner possible. Lauren has successfully secured several motions for summary judgment, including a decision upheld by the Court of Appeals of Georgia, and obtained dismissal in a seven-figure catastrophic injury case involving a pedestrian. She also analyzes various methods to resolve disputes and has a proven track record of mediating favorable settlements for her clients, including a $500,000 wrongful death subrogation claim that settled for $10,000.
Lauren skillfully intuits others’ needs and motivations, which allows her to better understand her clients, opponents and potential jurors. She leverages her empathetic nature to get to know her clients individually to drive their defense plans and advise them on key strategic decisions relating to the matters at hand.
While earning her J.D. from the Georgia State University College of Law, Lauren clerked for the in-house litigation team of a large national insurer. Through this experience, she developed valuable insight into the needs and goals of insurers, which she applies to her practice today.
