Overview

Jenifer “Jen” F. Pfanzelt’s civil litigation practice is focused primarily on complex commercial and coverage litigation. In the context of both first-party insurance claims and third-party liability claims, her experience includes representing carriers, contractors, engineers, architects, manufacturers, premises owners, professionals and others in coverage arbitration and litigation, providing claims advice and defending against bad faith claims.

She represents clients involved in high-stakes cases in state and federal courts throughout the U.S. Jen’s broad practice has included representing corporate entities and individuals in cases involving coverage, commercial litigation, fiduciary liability, construction, catastrophic injury, complex tort litigation, products liability, premises liability and transportation litigation.

Advocating for her clients in arbitration and litigation, she has handled matters involving numerous regulations and bodies of law, including the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and building codes at the international, state and local levels. Her work also has involved rules issued or adopted by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Georgia Office of Insurance and Fire Safety Commissioner (OIFSC).

Jen prides herself on a demonstrated history of responsiveness, cost-effectiveness and favorable results. She has counseled clients in significant and challenging settlement negotiations, trial preparation and contentious discovery disputes.

While studying at Baylor, Jen received an award for outstanding advocacy and participated in moot court, mock trial and the veteran’s volunteer law clinic. She also interned for the Honorable Sam Lindsay of the Northern District of Texas.
