David C. “Dave” Williams, Jr., is a senior attorney with Swift Currie who handles matters in several of the firm’s practice areas, including automobile litigation, catastrophic injury and wrongful death, insurance coverage, trucking litigation, premises liability, products liability and workers’ compensation. His clients include retailers and insurance companies.

Dave is a responsive, efficient attorney who focuses on his clients’ needs throughout their cases, from pre-lawsuit consultation to discovery and trial. As a result of his strong litigation skills, quick thinking and attentiveness, he provides value to his clients by winning summary judgments and jury verdicts.

Dave has a vast knowledge of premises liability law that has resulted in several positive outcomes for his clients. For example, he successfully won a summary judgment in a case against a storage facility that conducted itself in a negligent, fraudulent and deceitful manner, causing the plaintiff’s storage space to be burglarized while surveillance cameras were inoperable. This judgment was affirmed by the appellate court. In addition, David won a summary judgment on claims stemming from violations of the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act and invasion of privacy laws.

Dave has had unique experiences to help hone his litigation skills. He clerked for the Honorable Bruce E. Williams, presiding judge of Madison County, Alabama, after completing law school, and he worked as a local campaign manager for Congressman Mike Rogers of Alabama.
