Austin M. Hiffa is an attorney practicing in Swift Currie’s coverage and commercial litigation section with an emphasis on the areas of automobile, commercial and trucking litigation, as well as premises liability. Possessing a well-rounded background, Austin is also experienced in business litigation, corporate law, real estate law, contracts and general civil litigation.

Throughout his career, Austin has represented small and medium-sized businesses in complex commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract and partnership/joint venture disputes. He has regularly counseled his clients in a wide range of business matters concerning contract negotiation, business formation and case evaluation.

Austin is dedicated to maintaining a client-first approach in his practice and  carefully makes strategic decisions to align with his client’s best interests. When faced with high-stakes litigation, he makes communication his top priority in order to keep his clients up to date and efficiently address their questions and concerns.

A forward-thinking attorney, Austin understands the rising costs of litigation make it increasingly important for his clients to weigh the potential risks and benefits of litigation. Accordingly, he works alongside his clients to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of their cases and explore alternative solutions geared toward achieving their desired outcomes.

While earning his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law, Austin won the 2017 National Negotiation Competition in which law students from across the country compete in head-to-head negotiations based on facts from real-word scenarios. He also won Moot Court Team of the Year and the CALI Award for Academic Excellence in legal writing and research.
