Overview

Katherine Shea Feagin is an associate attorney in Swift Currie’s Atlanta office. She focuses her practice on representing insurance companies and their insureds in lawsuits that have been brought against them by third parties.

Prior to joining Swift Currie, Shea worked at the Walton County Public Defender’s Office where she participated in multiple felony and misdemeanor jury trials. As a public defender, Shea counseled clients through the possibility of prison sentences and was often able to create rehabilitative options instead of confinement through negotiations, arguments and thinking outside of typical criminal practices. Her experience in criminal law allows her to see how criminal charges, or potential criminal charges, may impact the civil cases that her clients are facing.

In her work, Shea prioritizes her attention to detail, the ability to multitask, her passion for the law field and thinking outside of the box to find solutions for unique problems. She understands that lawsuits cause anxiety, which she is able to counsel her clients through while zealously defending their interests.

Shea earned her J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law. She earned her B.S. and B.A. from the University of Georgia.
