Biography
Joseph A. Munger has practiced workers' compensation law, employment law, personal injury law, insurance defense litigation and premises liability law since joining Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers in 1985. He has been a partner in the firm since 1992, and has served on the management committee.
Mr. Munger is a member of the Atlanta, Colorado and American Bar Associations and the State Bar of Georgia. He is also a member of the Employment Law Section of the Defense Research Institute, belongs to the Workers' Compensation Sections of the State and Atlanta Bars, and is a member of the Georgia Self Insurers Association. He frequently lectures on employment topics that include discrimination and disability matters, drug-free workplace and workers' compensation. He has published articles on many employment-related topics including the American with Disabilities Act and its interplay with workers' compensation concerns. His practice covers the entire state of Georgia.
He graduated with honors from Michigan State University in 1980, and received his law degree in 1983, from the University of Colorado School of Law. He served as a law clerk in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado in 1984.
