Biography
J. David Garner joined Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, LLP, in 2005. He currently practices in the firm's workers' compensation section. Mr. Garner has represented a diverse array of clients and has trial experience ranging from administrative hearings to complex civil litigation in both state and federal courts in Georgia and Mississippi. For the majority of his career, his practice has focused on workers' compensation litigation.
Mr. Garner has been invited to speak on a range of legal issues within the Georgia workers' compensation system. He also regularly advises clients on ways to reduce costs with a focus on accident prevention and fraud prevention. He is a member of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Georgia Bar, and is also admitted to practice in Mississippi.
Mr. Garner graduated from Kennesaw State University in 1995, with a B.S. in Political Science and a minor in Legal Studies, and in 1998, he earned his J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law. In law school, he was honored both as a Senior Staff Member of the Mississippi College Law Review and as a Pupil Member of the Charles Clark chapter of the American Inns of Court.

Interests/Additional Information
Mr. Garner is married with three daughters and enjoys spending time with his family. He is also an avid runner. Mr. Garner enjoys music and plays guitar in an Atlanta-based rock and roll band with three other local attorneys.
