Biography
Brian M. Leepson joined Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, LLP, in 2000, after gaining experience at other Atlanta firms in a broad range of litigated matters, including those involving insurance coverage, products liability, premises liability and employment discrimination.
At Swift Currie, Mr. Leepson has focused extensively on insurance coverage issues. He has a broad range of experience analyzing and litigating both first-party and third-party coverage and bad faith issues under various different types of insurance policies, including commercial general liability policies, employment practices liability policies, excess/umbrella insurance policies, professional liability policies, homeowners policies and many others. Mr. Leepson has spoken on insurance coverage issues at a number of seminars, most recently giving a talk in August 2005 entitled, "Commercial General Liability Coverage Issues in a Construction Defect Claim" at a seminar sponsored by the Georgia Institute of Continuing Legal Education for the benefit of attorneys, contractors, engineers and other professionals in the construction industry.
Beyond insurance coverage, Mr. Leepson also handles a broad range of litigated matters, including construction litigation, subrogation and arson and fraud, as well as premises liability, auto liability and general personal injury defense.
Mr. Leepson received his undergraduate education from Brandeis University, graduating in 1992 with a B.A. in Politics. Mr. Leepson earned his J.D., with distinction, from Emory University School of Law in 1996. He is admitted to practice in courts throughout the State of Georgia and has litigated matters throughout the Southeast.
