Brad Wolff

Bradley “Brad” S. Wolff defends businesses and individuals in litigation connected to products liability, premises liability and personal injury. He represents national and Georgia-based clients from a broad range of industries, including automobile manufacturers, vaccine and other medical manufacturers, school systems, professional sports teams and venues, large and small insurers and more.

Brad’s diverse background includes handling matters ranging from small auto accident claims to multimillion dollar cases. He handles litigation and appellate cases in jurisdictions across the United States and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Brad spent more than 10 years as part of a team representing a national vaccine manufacturer in hundreds of claims alleging a connection to childhood autism. During this litigation, Brad helped secure victory for the manufacturers in trial and appellate courts around the country, including by participating in a briefing to the U.S. Supreme Court.

At Swift Currie, Brad is often brought into matters by other lawyers in the firm to assist with complex motions and as appellate counsel. Brad also serves as the firm's first General Counsel.

Brad has a demonstrated history of addressing the unique and complex challenges facing a client’s business and litigation needs. Understanding that businesses rarely want to be involved in litigation, he works closely with the client to determine the best legal strategy to resolve a claim, either through settlement, trial or appeal.

Experience

• Won at trial and then successfully prosecuted two appeals required to perfect the trial victory, in a case involving a landowner’s rights to an easement to access property adjacent to the Chattahoochee River.
• Successfully defended a sports team’s athletic trainer against a professional athlete alleging a career-ending condition in a case that established that athletic trainers may be protected from tort suits by workers’ compensation immunity.
• Represented professional sports teams in cases involving the legal duties to fans injured by objects leaving the field of play and by falling due to debris left in the stands at the conclusion of a game.
• Defended a company against a claim for damages allegedly caused by the loss or destruction of evidence an employee needed to prove a case against the manufacturer of the product that caused her injury, obtaining a ruling from the Georgia Court of Appeals that the tort of spoliation is not recognized in Georgia.
