Aside from providing our clients with the best legal services possible, Swift Currie is also serving our community. As much as we are here to serve our clients, we are also aware of our duty to do our part in the community and outreach to those in need. Through the direction of our Community Relations Committee, Swift Currie is able to actively participate in community service projects and hopefully make a positive difference in the lives of others one project at a time.

Atlanta Food Bank
Thirty-two volunteers from Swift Currie, including partners, associates and summer clerks, went to the Atlanta Food Bank to lend a hand at the Product Resource Center. They packaged 8,153 pounds of food which equates to 5,435 meals for needy families!

Hands on Atlanta - Service Juris Day
Atlanta Charter Middle School
Volunteers from Swift Currie will be working on a project at Atlanta Charter Middle School. Swift Currie has also been asked to be an event sponsor and will serve on the steering committee for this event. Our tasks for the day will be to paint classrooms, build and install cubbies and shelves, paint light fixtures, install light bulbs, paint murals, install tennis balls on table and chair legs and sand and varnish doors.

Ten Swift Currie members will serve the public during Saturday brunch. We encourage you to come by and enjoy a delicious brunch served by your very own Swift Currie staff. All proceeds will benefit Cafe 458 and their efforts to provide meals to the less fortunate and the homeless in the community.

Pet Rescue Project - Wags to Riches
Garden Hills Clubhouse
Swift Currie will provide volunteers to help run the two-day, charity yard sale at Garden Hills Clubhouse to benefit "Wags to Riches," a local Pet Rescue Project. The sale is being held Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27. Please stop by and help support this worthy cause.

Atlanta Community Food Bank Food Drive
Swift Currie Office
Swift Currie will be holding a Food Drive for the entire month of October. Food collection bins will be placed throught the office and all collected food items will be delivered to the Atlanta Community Food Bank to be sorted and delivered to needy individuals and/or families.

Soldier Boxes
Swift Currie will be putting together care packages for 15 soldiers stationed overseas. The boxes will be sent over at the end of October to hopefully arrive in time for the holiday season. They will include toiletries, magazines, books, etc.

Senior Citizens Services

Swift Currie volunteers will work on a four-hour home repair/improvement project at the home of a senior citizen who would not be able to address these issues on their own.

American Cancer Society Walk
Swift Currie will be sponsoring a walk team to participate in this year's American Cancer Society Walk. In addition, an ice cream social fundraiser will be held earlier in the year to raise money for this charity.

United Way
For most of November, the Swift Currie Community Relations Committee will be heading our annual United Way Campaign. All employees in the firm are encouraged to participate knowing that any donations they can give go to help many charities within Metro Atlanta.

Adopt a Family
For the 2008 Holiday Season, Swift Currie will be adopting two needy families. We will provide them with a holiday dinner as well as presents for their familiy members, all of which they probably would not have been able to provide on their own.
